Calorie Restriction weight loss and grocery haul

Counting calories to lose 100 pounds. I have 20 pounds left to lose. I need to gain control of my carb eating again. I really blew it today, over 1000 calories in dates. Yikes, I will be paying for it tomorrow on the scale.

What is the best diet to do, low fat? Low calorie? Low carbs? etc?

I want to find a diet that is quick and easy to follow.
I meant quick and easy to prepare the food.

The best way to keep an eye on what you eat is through calorie counting. People think it’s old school now but it still works and is a lot simplier and easier than all those silly faddy diets. Depending on how much exercise you do you want to be eating around 1,400 calories a day to lose weight but that also depends on what you are eating now and how big built and tall you are. There are some fairly useful websites out there on calories counting, just google it and see what you can come up with

end of week eight of the Fat Smash Diet plus body shots 10lbs lighter!!!!

Here is a little update of my week: My niece had oral surgery and i helped to take care of her she was out of it for most of the day, plus my son dimitri graduated kindergarten with honors and his teacher said he is more than ready for 1st grade and it was a pleasure to have him in her class! Thats an inside joke to our family because she also taught his older brother who is good in his academics but has a bad temper he got in a fight the first week of kindergarten lol!

As for weight loss I loss 1.6lbs this week! Which brings me to a total weight loss of 10.5lbs in eight weeks! I have included some body shots (bathing suit pics) before and afters! I am so excited about my progress and cant wait for Monday to hit the gym!

I also just bought a nintendo ds game called Personal Trainer Walking. You carry a digital pedometer in your pocket and it tracks all your activity and steps and activity level you have done within the day! Its really cool and helpful I will be doing a review about it shortly!

In the ongoing battle royale between the hottest American trend diets, it seems one of them in particular always wins title of “most widely followed trend diet” — the standard low-fat diet.
A new study determines what diet really works.

The idea, it seems, has been that the lower in fat a diet is, the better its results. But this notion is one that is under fire from new research released today. And the study has already reignited a debate within the diet and nutrition community that could determine the eventual fate of the low-fat diet.

Researchers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel found in a study of 322 obese subjects that the so-called Mediterranean diet — a diet plan characterized by high levels of healthy fats, fruits, and vegetables — beat out the low-fat diet both in terms of how much weight patients lost, as well as how many health benefits they gained as a result of the diet.

To determine this, researchers put study subjects on one of three diet regimens: a low-carb diet, a low-fat diet or a Mediterranean diet. Those on the low-carb diet lost the most weight in two years — about 12 pounds — while those on the Mediterranean diet lost about 10 pounds.

And in a finding that may surprise some, those on the low-fat diet lost the least weight — about seven pounds after two years.

Moreover, researchers found that a low-fat diet bestowed the least health benefits on the dieters compared with the Mediterranean and low-carb diets. Those on the Mediterranean diet were most likely to have improvements in blood sugar levels, while those on the low carb diet had the most improvement in cholesterol levels.

Is The Low Fat Diet the Right Diet #620

Atkins Diet Recipes: Low Carb Pancakes

Here is my breakfast Low Carb cooking video where I make my favorite low carb pancake recipe. This isn’t Induction friendly due to the Baking mix, but you could substitute some almond flour to make it Extended Induction legal. (There is an understanding by some Dr. A said they (nuts) could be added after 14 days.) Here’s the recipe:
* 8oz pkg cream cheese
* 3 eggs
* 3 tsp Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda
* 1/4 cup Atkins Bake Mix *recipe below
* 1/2 tsp baking powder
* 1/2 tsp vanilla
* 1/4 cup Heavy Cream or buttermilk

Beat cream cheese with mixer until blended smooth. Add the remaining ingredients, and let sit for 5 minutes. Preheat non-stick pan to med/high heat. Spray pan with non stick spray and use 1/4 cup measure per pancake. Yield 10 pancakes.
