…missing quantities are up to you for this one!…
— Raw Corn on the Cob (yes, totally raw, NOT even so much as lightly steamed…although if you need to steam them, we won’t tell anyone…)
— Beefsteak Tomatoes
— Cucumbers*
— 1 bunch of Cilantro
— 1 Lime
*unpeeled if organic; peeled if inorganic
* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Shuck the corn, and lay out on what will be each person’s lunch or dinner plate.
— 2) Slice the beefsteak tomatoes into very large pieces & slice the cucumbers lengthwise into quarters, setting all sliced tomatoes & cucumbers along side the shucked ears of corn.
— 3) Chop the cilantro into large pieces, and divide among all of the plates as well.
— 4) Use a manual citrus juicer or a citrus hand juicer to squeeze the juice of the lime over everything on each plate, but concentrating most heavily on the cilantro and the corn.
— 5) Serve, and enjoy!

— I wanted to share with you a REAL raw food meal, meaning one that is more typical for a REALLY quick and simple raw food dinner. This recipe involves no machines! But I do use a knife…
— The top question type I have been getting has been about LOVE, and mainly in the sense of asking, “How do I get more love?”
— The 2nd top question type I have been getting has been all things related to CORN, yes corn…go figure! So, to ward off in advance any further “So how do you prepare your corn?” type questions, here is the answer if you haven’t figured it out already: I eat my corn 100% raw and unadulterated…not even slightly steamed!
— Regarding love, we are all an infinite field and we just come out of that…but with conditionings brought upon by us by our environments. At each of our cores, we really are all innocent. Just because many of us have been programmed with ‘negative’ and/or ‘ignorant’ things, through no faults of our own, this does not make our inner, innocent selves out to be bad…
— So we REALLY need to love OURSELVES no matter what! Take some time to sit with yourself, be it via meditation, or spending more time alone…and learn to love yourself…just do it!

— 1 pound Baby Bok Choy (or 1 bunch Bok Choy)
— 1 bunch Mustard Greens
— 4 bunches Parsley (2 Regular, 2 Italian)
— 1 bunch Asparagus
— 1 large Fresh Aloe Leaf (inorganic ok; organic is rarely available…also, only juice the lower portion of it & always juice a bit & taste, juice a bit & taste, as it can be VERY potent)
— 1 bottle of E3Live Algae

My story is NOT dramatic:
When I went vegan I didn’t notice any huge changes in my health except that it was much easier to maintain my weight. I had hoped for some weight-loss, but that requires more concentrated effort. However, weight maintenance as a vegan is easy. I don’t have to watch my calories to make sure I don’t gain weight, I just have to stay vegan to make sure I don’t gain weight
But remember, I was already vegetarian when I made the switch and went vegan. So… already I was in better health than most American meat-eaters.
Regarding asthma: I had hoped for some improvement in my asthma, because “A 1985 Swedish study demonstrated that individuals with asthma practicing a vegan diet for a full year have a marked decrease in the need for medications and in the frequency and severity of asthma attacks. Twenty-two of the 24 subjects reported improvement by the end of the year.”

But for me, I didn’t see a change in my asthma due to a change in diet. I did see a change in my asthma due to other things, however.
I will say this: I am very healthy. I have low cholesterol (116) and I have a healthy weight. I do NOT have diabetes, heart disease, cancer.
The MAJOR changes I’ve seen after I went vegan were psychological and emotional. I feel more in tune with myself, I’m living more in sinc with my values, I’m working more towards my goals. My life has more meaning and I feel more connected.
You are what you eat.
Not just when in regards to physical health, but also in regards to emotional and psychological health: your diet reflects your values.
If you value life, eat like you value life. Eat like you value your life and the lives of others. Go vegan.
UPDATE:
Here’s why I don’t talk about the health benefits of being a vegan: Veganism is NOT a diet. Vegans exclude certain so-called foods. There is no specific call to eat more other foods. You can be a junk-food vegan or a health-food vegan or anything in between. So there’s not accurate way to judge whether being a vegan is overall better for your health than being a nonvegan.
Certainly, there are reduced risks for certain health problems. Meat and animal products are related to cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, constipation, and other illnesses.
But mostly, veganism is NOT a diet. Veganism is a lifestyle. Vegans don’t just avoid animal foods, they also avoid animal products in cosmetics and clothing. The definition of vegan is “person who seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose.”
Anyone interested in veganism for purely health reasons isn’t fully understanding what veganism IS.

Well, if I wanted to live a long life full of health, vitality & strength then I personally would be choosing option ‘B.’
— For those who think that me drinking green juice if I had cancer instead of getting chemo or radiation is pure quackery, then I say this: “Well, since most people are NOT getting rid of their cancer through conventional treatments & neither are many of those people getting healthy from chemo….well, drinking green juices certainly couldn’t hurt then, now could it…especially if I had already tried the conventional treatments & they had not worked…for not only would I not be damaging my healthy cells in the process of drinking that living green juice, but I would be STRENGTHENING them!”
— I may not have a bunch of fancy letters after my name, but what I do have is the LOVE…and a caring for YOU & for the TRUTH. I don’t claim to hold the golden key to Truth…but I am always driven by it & I’m always seeking it.
— One could choose to decide to simply try drinking green juices for just a month or two, to see what happens! So why not simply *try* the green juice path? To neutralize acidity, clear congestion, lose weight, and/or possibly heal oneself of cancer or diabetes like Dave did?
— Too many complex carbohydrates & animal foods + not enough live-giving fruits & vegetables from Mother Earth has essentially lowered the cellular respiration in your body…your cells literally can’t breathe & so can’t get the energy they need to function optimally.
IT SEEMS AS THOUGH MANKIND HAS LOST ITS MIND….BUT NOW IT IS TIME TO RETURN TO THE INFINITE WISDOM OF MOTHER NATURE & OF OUR CREATOR, AND SO REMEMBER THAT ALL THAT WE HAVE NEEDED TO SURVIVE & THRIVE HAS ALWAYS BEEN UPON THE EARTH.

Dave is on Day 13 of a juice feast and he feels fantastic! 34 days is the longest he has ever juice feasted, and his goal for this one is a 64 day juice feast. Although he says he will still be listening to his body and will stop sooner if that is what his body tells him to do! He is currently basing most of his juices with powdered mixes such as BarleyMax, so he can more easily stick to the plan while on the road. He feels the BarleyMax gives him a real kick!
Dave is also now thrilled to finally be fitting into a size 42 pant, after being stuck in a 44 pant for awhile. Even if this means that the rate of his weight loss might be slowing, he still just knows he needs to continue on, and “stay as organic, raw & vegan as possible!”
Dave says he feels energetically alive!
Dave was also happy to share how he has been helping others out: he recently met with 4 people who have cancer, followed by 4 people who have insulin-resistant diabetes. Dave says that he feels so blessed to be able to help people, by simply sharing with them his personal experience of how he cured himself of colon cancer and diabetes!
And Dave healed himself of these ailments, all through the healing power of juices & raw foods…whole fruits & vegetables, partnered with primarily vegetable juicing. When not using the BarleyMax powdered juice mix, he focuses on raw vegetable juice recipes made with dark, leafy greens, as well as celery. If he should ever add any fruit, he sticks with the low-glycemic fruits such as cucumbers, tomatoes and bell peppers– yes, those are all technically fruits!
Dave believes that such juices have some type of life force healing energy…perhaps from the chlorophyll, from the fact that the enzymes and everything in them is raw and living, and/or the energetics of each unique type of vegetable or fruit. He believes eating and drinking raw vegan and organic foods allow the immune system to heal itself!

**BONUS HEALTHY SALAD RECIPE!**
When you have good spinach on hand, chop it up with some chopped red peppers, then squeeze lime juice over the top: it is the most delicious fat free salad you could ever have.
* I n g r e d i e n t s *
— 1 Thai Young Coconut (Coconut Water)
— 1 head of Celery
— 1 Cucumber (unpeeled if organic, peeled if inorganic)
— 1 bunch of Spinach (organic is vital here…only get it if it looks vibrant and fresh!)
* P r e p a r a t i o n *

This book is a wonderful display of intelligence. It’s jam packed full of information that has definitely been the root of my new motivation to focus more on my health and not just weight loss. The book talks about everything from detailed and scary facts about what we really put into our mouths, to practical vegan tips. I recommend it for anyone who is ready to get serious about their overall health through food. Its quite a verbal kick in the ass…
