what is a healthy meal plan for a fourteen year old active girl?

Im a girl, 14 years old, 5’7, and 156 lbs. Ever since june i have been running 4k four to five times a week. Im also on a basketball team, and we practice every morning for an hour and a half sometimes 2 hours. We do alot of sprints at practice, and push ups & leg ups. Also from may to now, i have been on a rowing team. I eat pretty decent and try to eat under 1500 calories a day.. which i a lot but i had to add more calories where im so active. Im a very busy girl, cause im also on other sports teams. I am wondering what would be a good meal plan for me, with breakfast, dinner, supper, and a few snacks.

Please do not say any complex diets, or some extremely healthy meals that have no tast because after all im 14.

drink 12-14 8oz glasses of water per day (eat your calories rather than drinking them, i.e. soda, juice, etc.). eat lots of fruits and veggies, some protein and little of carbs and fat. eat six-eight meals a day rather than the traditional three to increase metabolism. and never deny yourself anything because you will crave it, everything in moderation is key. burn more calories than you consume. your sports and exercise are great calorie burners.

Breakfast: Plain yogurt and blueberries or strawberries, a handful of granola on top
Snack: Banana, handful of almonds or walnuts
Lunch: Fish or chicken, some type of green veggies (spinach, kale, broccoli), small side of rice, potato or pasta
Snack: Hummus and veggies
Dinner: Spaghetti and turkey meatballs, big salad
Snack: Apple & cheese slices

Hope this helps – tried to keep it simple!

Is this a healthy meal plan for today + I’m on a diet?

I missed breakfast because I was sleeping, I had to stay up late last night.
Breakfast- nothing
Lunch- Vegetable soup + some iceberg lettuce + an apple
Snack- 5 pieces of strawberry,a handful or less of nuts, a tbs of light Philadelphia spread cheese and some black tea.
Dinner- Tuna sandwich (white bread[i dont have brown atm], mustard instead of mayo,iceberg lettuce + boiled veggies.
Snack- An orange or any other fruit.

There looks like your not eating enough even for a diet!

There is clearly a lack of Protein, very little Carbs despite in consuming the majority of your diet, and your fat is dismal.

Take another look at what your doing because that is a recipe for disaster.

You should have protein with every meal regardless. You need to try and get a decent serve of veggies every meal, and a fe serves of fruit in the day. Fats are important so make sure there is some source with every meal.

Have a look at the Paleo diet. Its not a fad but how we should REALLY be eating. I have an abstract from an article on my CrossFit website if you are interested otherwise take a look at The Pale Diet website
